Dear Kate, I've had several contributions posted on your website (with overwhelmingly positive responses on the BB), but this is the first one I'm sending in on my own. It is a surprise for my husband"s birthday (Jan. 25) I don't expect this to get in that quickly, but if there's a chance you can get it on as close to his birthday as possible, that would be very much appreciated. I clean homes for a living, and one of my customers is a vintage car buff. He also restores some of these beautiful vehicles in his garage. I always thought I should bring a camera and take pictures of these cars, they are amazing when they are finished. Well, I don't know much about old cars, only know that this was one honey of a Porsche, the only thing missing from it was a hood ornament! (I thought I'd fix that problem, hee hee!) So I prayed the car would be there in December, and I brought the digital camera. I was relieved to see the car was still there; it was all covered in tarpaulins, but unfortunately, the front of the car was pulled all the way up to the other side of the garage. Darn, this was not the angle I originally wanted, but I made do with the change anyway, and got down to business. I always wanted my hubby to see what these vintage autos looked like, now here was my chance to show him (I just added a few of my own options!). I had to work fast, as the owner was at work, but only a mile away from home, his wife works locally and often stops in at home to have lunch, and his daughter was home from college and still sleeping in the other side of the house. I was a nervous wreck at first, taking the pics, and keeping my ears open for anyone coming up the drive. When I was done taking the pics though, I was very wet, and even more so when I saw the results of my "labor of love." When you people see these pics for the first time, my hubby Gordon will too! So wish him a happy birthday, and let me know if you have any suggestions as to what he should ask for his next birthday! I love you sweetheart!
